Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few of the most common questions we receive about our services:
1.
"Can you sharpen serrated knives, such as bread knives?"
Yes - We can certainly sharpen serrated knives. However, this kind of edge does take more time and care, so it falls under the premium sharpening category ($12 for each serrated knife).
2.
"How can I sharpen my own knives at home?"

I am a big supporter of anyone looking to sharpen their own knives. Just know that some ways of sharpening are "better" than others. You can use pull-through sharpeners with some success, but this type of sharpener takes a LOT of metal off your knives. If you want to sharpen your own knives, I suggest learning with water stones. Here is a blog post on the subject.
3.
"Do you offer pickup and drop off service?"
Yes - I am happy to pick up and drop off your items for you. My only requirement is that this be for orders worth $60 or more. If you'd prefer to drop off and pick up your items at my home, please see these instructions.
4.
"What forms of payment do you accept?"

We accept most all forms of payment. You can pay via cash, debit card, credit card, or Venmo. Debit and credit card are accepted with the use of a Stripe reader. Payment is accepted on delivery of your newly sharpened items.
